Everybody meditates in an other way. For a few individuals nevertheless, the stillness required isn't available in their mind. A few individuals will sit in a quiet environment, close their eyes, focus on their respiring, letting whatever comes come, and whatever goes, go. Perhaps their thoughts turn and turn, round and round, making the stillness and quiet hard to realize.

Our modern busy world has lost touch with its non secular side and has suffered as a consequence. Niamh and I spend 10 minutes every day for one week quietly before a lighted candle as requested by Martin. We want to make time even 10 or 15 minutes a day simply to connect for some time with our non secular self. We need healing in 1 way or other. These are the moments which show us what it is to be there. Meditation is about purposely making these moments.

When you meditate you are making a conscious dedication to focus on the idea which should stimulate the experience of being present. How does one do this? The answer may appear obscure, but it is the one that is most correct. Again, I can't tell you how to try this, but I'm able to promise you that in your learning how to recognise these moments as they involuntarily happen, you may instinctually become mindful of what you must do to willingly make these experiences happen. I spent over 30 years looking for the ‘best tactics ‘ to meditate and in that search I attended meditation classes, read books, acquired led meditation CD’s and tapes, DVD’s and videos all in my extraneous effort to learn the most highly effective way to meditate. Fact is it was not till one or two years gone that I realized that the most simple and most efficient way of mediating is to ‘ relax and breathe.

Respiring is the most significant part of meditating and this should be performed correctly. I call it the two step technique that with a little practice anybody can get down to a skill. Many of us accept that our thinking mind is ‘us ‘ and that without it, we shall stop to be, or at the very least stop to have value. Learning how to quiet the thinking mind thru meditation will permit your inner voice an opportunity to come thru and help steer you to a satisfying life. Due to this overactive ego state, many of us have lost touch with our true quintessence and have stopped having the ability to hear our inner voice over the rabbit of our continually thinking mind. Realizing how you achieved this quiet state is crucial as well, and is dissimilar for everybody.
